Yes. Electrolysis is one of the most effective treatments for women with PCOS experiencing unwanted facial or body hair. Since it permanently destroys the follicle, results are not affected by ongoing hormonal changes, though active hormonal imbalances may cause new follicles to activate over time.
Please avoid waxing, threading, or using depilatory creams for at least 2 weeks before treatment; the hair needs to be present in the follicle. Shaving is fine. Do not apply makeup or skincare to the treatment area on the day of your appointment.
